SUBJECT ASSOCIATION ACTIVITY [ Quiz Programme ]

 QUIZ PROGRAMME

As part of Subject association activity a quiz programme was ssuccessfully organised 20/01/2022. Our association secretary Silpa monitored the programme and explained the rules and regulations to be followed in conducting the quiz competition. Two groups were formed, namely Team Ramanujan and Team G.H Hardy, each comprising of six members. The competition was held between these two groups. Two students from each group, Nithya and Jebin noted down the scores of their respective groups.

Quiz programmes are often conducted to encourage to students to look beyond their textual knowledge and establish relationship between theory and application of the learnt concepts.  The main objective of conducting the quiz was to develop mathematical attitude and to evaluate mathematical knowledge of the participants. Two students, Anju and Silpa representing each team asked questions to the opposing team, the event witnessed active participation of the students. Each team showcased their brilliance by rapidly answering the questions. The quiz was interactive and provided a challenging mathematical experience and was competitive and educational.  Each team asked ten questions. Each team had good team spirit and gave tough fight to make their team win. 

Questions were based on important days related to mathematics, eminent mathematicians. Some general mathematical questions wre also included. The teams were awarded one point for every correct answer. It was an interesting session. Students were alloted one minute for answering each question. Questions were answered correctly by both teams. 

Both the teams entered into Tie-breaker question and both the team won the competition even after the tie-breaker question. Finally both teams shared equal scores. The quiz was great success and participants enjoyed it thoroughly Our association secretary Silpa congratulated both the teams for having won the competition and the quiz programme ended successfully.
